COMMUNITY FOOD GROWING

The Community Food Growing Project team have worked hard over the last year and now have 3 sites around Llanfyllin – behind the Public Institute, at Y Dolydd and in Brook Street. Growing spaces have been mulched with compost and are ready for more members to get involved. The main gardening time is 10 -12 on Tuesdays but this will expand as needed. If you want to help please join BRACE via the link https://mailchi.mp/e2d67b52f4db/brace-membership , this will allow us to keep you up-to-date with events and help comply with our insurance obligations.

Some photos to show how much has been achieved already – how much more could we do if we could add to our dedicated little team??

  1. Hi,

Really interesting projects. Enjoyed reading about what you are achieving. I notice that you have a site in Brook Street. Can you tell me more about this please?

    • Hi Claire

      Thank you for your question.

It is part of the Gardd y Fro (Community Garden Group) group who meet on Tuesdays from 10 -12 behind the Public Institute. They meet at other times too during the main growing season but we encourage new volunteers to go to the main session first for a briefing. In addition to area in Brook Street we also have an area at the edge of Y Dolydd. If you would like to volunteer please send an email to RACE.committee@gmail.com and we will put you in touch with the relevant person.

      All the best

      Diana
