4 Workshops Before Christmas
As part of the funding we received from PAVO we are running 4 more free beginners workshops before Christmas (with more after!) Please email a66diana@gmail.com to book a place. There are 10 places on each workshop so book early to avoid disappointment (some already have places taken).
Propagation
Friday 12th November, 10–midday
Amanda Hopwood will introduce us to the basics of propagation through cuttings. If you can please bring a 2 litre plastic drinks bottle with lid on, 2 plant pots about 12cm in diameter and a pair of secateurs (we have some spares). At the Public Institute.
Preserves
Saturday 20th November, 10am–3pm
Come and make green tomato chutney, apple butter and a fruit jam to take home. At the Public Institute with Diane Griffiths. Please bring jam jars and an apron if you have them (we have spares). A fresh vegetable soup lunch will be provided – please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.
Winter Growing and Perennial Crops
Sunday 5th December, 10am–3pm
Lesley Wills will run the 2 sessions at the Public Institute to help us maximise our yields through growing winter crops plus increasing the use of perennial food crops in the garden. A fresh vegetable soup lunch will be provided – please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.
Winter Fruit Tree Pruning
Sunday 12th December, 10.30 until they are all done or it gets dark!
Come and learn to prune the fruit trees in Cae Bodfach with Will Denne. We have some secateurs and loppers but if you have your own please bring them. If you are unable to make the whole day please let us know the times you can! A fresh vegetable soup lunch will be provided – please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.
