Good Friday, 1–4pm Cae Bodfach mini festival co-hosted by The Severn Rivers Trust and BRACE celebrating life in the valley past and present.
Live jazz, blues and country from local band Beresford, Williams and Foote, seedling swap/sale, workshops on willow weaving and bird boxing making, stalls showcasing local charities BRACE, Dolydd Gobaith, Dolen Ffermio and Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust, organic ice cream sales, tea and home-made cake, and more. Dewi Morris of Severn Rivers Trust will have an interactive stall modelling river flow and habitats.
Artists Linda Jane James and Paul Butler of Brooks Art will run workshops exploring people’s memories of the area – about the economy, food production, farming, landscape and culture.
The ideas will be used to create content for interpretation panels about the Cain Valley to be displayed in Cae Bodfach, a project commissioned by the Severn Rivers Trust.
Please spread the word and encourage your friends and relatives to come along and contribute their memories. Donations of home-made cake also most welcome!
